Take for instance national security and surveillance. Terrorism and the way nations deal with. It is not just the money that is a cost that society must bare but the continuing intrusion into our personal lives is a tremendous cost.
Much of what Governments do today is to try to employ worthless people at the expense of individuals whom can carry the load.
Might it be better to have a portion of the population unemployed and fully supported and accept the fact that not everyone can have a job.
Creating enormous government bureaucratic armies of individuals who do nothing but impede others in society. Homeland Security, Transportation Safety and other Federal Agencies.
With so many do nothing agencies then Center for Disease Control gets painted with the same brush.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-530548799681444324.post-54365902008477183682013-07-14T16:16:34.216-05:002013-07-14T16:16:34.216-05:00"It's easy to understand why a non-mental..."It's easy to understand why a non-mentally-ill person would think that --- you see someone do something that you would never do, that you cannot even fathom doing, and you want to know what could possibly drive someone to do it. If imagining yourself in their shoes doesn't give you an answer, you're left with the possibility that this person must differ from you in some fundamental way."

...and I bet some of the *other* people going "that attacker must have been mentally ill" do so *because* they put themselves in the killer's shoes.

Refusing to accept that people in their own demographic groups can do bad things too, they instead try to *excuse* the perps with things like "he's not guilty, he's just misunderstood! He must have had a mental illness so he couldn't help it!"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
